What is Manuka Honey?
Manuka honey is a rare and unique honey. It is made by bees from the nectar of the New Zealand Manuka tree. Research has shown that this typr of honey has remarkable natural specialities compared to other types of honey.
What does MGO mean?
MGO stands for methylglyoxal. Methylglyoxal is the naturally occurring compound that makes Manuka honey special. As the honey in the Manuka nectar ripens, the MGO content increases. Therefore, the MGO number can vary for each product depending on it's potency.
