If you wear full coverage, waterproof makeup, this cleanser will not take it off in one go and you will need a micellar water or makeup wipe beforehand. One tube is generously sized, after a month, I did not make a big dent into it even using it twice a day. Not to mention Caudalie products are high quality and have a long history of making excellent cosmetics.

I tested removing light makeup with this (only concealer) and this did a decent job. What I did was squeeze a generous amount into my palm and lather it up with some water before putting it on my dry face. After washing, I used a white cotton pad with miscellar water to see if there was any concealer remaining, and I didn't notice any pigment left on the cotton pad. However, I did feel like I had to wash my face more vigorously to make sure all my makeup got taken off, so it actually left my face a bit red, and I ended up losing the benefit of the gentleness of this cleanser, so I definitely would recommend just using the normal makeup remover product and doing a double cleanse with this product as the 2nd cleanse.

It's a thick gel and takes a bit of work to rinse off, but all the makeup comes with it and it leaves your face nice and plump and hydrated.
