Like the eye cream from the same line, it is very prone to pilling whether you use it on it's own and happen to touch your face or if anything else is applied to it.
The cream is quite thick but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin, it gives instant relief to dry skin and plumps it out leaving a healthy glow.
It is quite pricey but it's nice that it has a refill option so it saves money and waste for the environment.

The grape coloured packaging (a nod to the company's production methods, using ingredients from grapevines) is beautiful. Inside the glass tub, there is a removable pot – and you can replace this pot with refills, saving money on future purchases and knowing you're saving on packaging.
The question is: will you like it enough to want to buy a refill? For me, the answer is unequivocally YES.
There is a mild scent – just enough to avoid that 'functional' feeling of a totally scentless cream, but in no way overpowering. It smells and feels luxurious. The texture of this day cream is sublime. It reminds me very much a very well known premium French brand. The cream I used from them, at times when I needed proper luxurious hydration, cost almost twice as much as this one. And I have to say, I would now choose Caudalie instead of the other option every time.
As I suffer from dry skin through the winter, a real test for me is whether I feel like I need to apply more moisturiser during the day (or indeed use a night cream during the day instead). I don't with this. A thin layer over freshly prepped skin is absolutely sufficient to last the day and it feels like such a relief applying it.
Caudalie is undoubtedly a premium skincare brand and it comes with a matching price tag. But if you can afford premium skincare and you haven't tried Caudalie before, I thoroughly recommend you try it because it really is exceptionally good.

...is is definitely the original. Very high quality vlass jar with a refillable center pot which is a packaging detail that I do like. The cream itself is lovely really nice smell, a great feel when you're putting it on not too heavy, but not too lightweight either, absorbs well into the skin and doesn't leave any kind of greasy after feeling. I admit it is a bit on the higher end from the kind of cream I would normally use so I'm not sure if it would be something that would become a regular daily routine for me but I do acknowledge that it definitely feels very luxurious and like it has a better quality composition than a lot of the typical creams I've used before.

There's a lovely scent to it but not enough to irritate even the most sensitive of skin - unless, of course, you're allergic to grapes. Your skin will be left feeling soft, supple and hydrated throughout the day. I've even had some compliments on my skin after I started using it (three weeks ago).
Another positive is that I feel I can use it as both a day and a night cream. It wears magnificently under makeup and, if applied at night time, makes me look awake and, again, hydrated in the morning.
